ABOUT OUR CLUB
Top Spins Table Tennis Club is easily accessible and centrally located in the city of Perth. Its door is opened to table tennis players of all ages and skill levels 7 days a week.
Our vision is to promote a healthy lifestyle through the sport of table tennis, and to help develop the skills and standards of table tennis among our members and the State of Western Australia.
We run a variety of programs, including coaching and competitions, that strive to meet the needs of a broad spectrum of players in the table tennis community in a friendly environment. Whether you are looking for a social game, a competitive match, or simply someone (or a robot) to practise your table tennis skills with; there will be something for you at Top Spins.

MEET OUR COACH
We are delighted that Mr Dennis Chen is our Honorary Coaching Consultant . Mr Chen was ranked 24th in the table tennis world ranking and a former member of the Chinese National Team.

I have been playing table tennis since 9 years of age and have participated in many national tournaments in Malaysia as well as pennants, opens and also 1st division competition in Western Australia. I have had 4 years of coaching experience in group training and private lessons for children and adults of all ages. I am also a qualified professional table tennis umpire in Australia. I have become an inspiration to many, showing that anything is possible through hard work and determination.

Passionate about coaching table tennis basic skills and dedicated to developing a strong mentality in players. Specializes in emotional and anger management strategies tailored for competitive scenarios.
- Accredited Level 1 Coach by Table Tennis Australia
- Extensive experience coaching both teenagers and adults
- Consistently performs at a high A grade level in Western Australia
- Successfully trained up a teenager player into state junior squad and participated in national championships.
-5 years consecutive championship in southwest.
-Demonstrated success in enhancing players' overall performance, combining technical prowess with a resilient mindset.
Believes in a comprehensive coaching approach that goes beyond technical skills. Focused on instilling mental resilience, emphasizing emotional and anger management as integral components for success in competition.

I started playing table tennis seriously since 2001 and have been under professional training since, including one year training in a sports school.
I gain my coaching experience from being a practise partner for four years in China.
I have coached in a group training setting as well as one on one coaching. I have also been a volunteer coach in Loreto Nedlands Primary School for two years.
Possessing extensive years of table tennis training experience, he holds a deep passion for the sport and conducts engaging and lively classes. He has been instrumental in mentoring numerous young players.

A young table tennis coach from China Table Tennis Sports Professional School, she began her table tennis journey at the age of 7. She achieved top-three placements in the 2015 China National Collegiate Women's Table Tennis Competition, secured first place in the women's table tennis event at the 2023 China Municipal Games, and holds the qualification of a China national second-class athlete. Her aspiration is to teach the techniques she has mastered to young children, fostering collective improvement.

Code of Conduct
Purpose of the Code:
To promote the sport of table tennis in a healthy, friendly and enjoyable environment at Top Spins
General Behaviours:
* Be courteous & respectful to each other
* Abusive and foul languages at all Top Spins facilities will not be tolerated
* Abusive behaviours, including damage to equipment at all Top Spins facilities will not be tolerated
* Languages and behaviours that incite disharmony among Top Spins players & members will not be tolerated
* Keep Top Spins venue and facilities clean and tidy
a) by returning all borrowed equipment to the front desk and put all rubbish (including broken balls) in the bins provided
b) clean the playing surface with the cloth provided at each table after use
On Court Behaviours:
* Umpires are to be impartial and consistent in their decisions
* Responsibility for awarding points, calling lets and terminating a rally rests with the umpire and NOT the players
* Players who have any concerns about their opponents at a match are to raise their concerns with the umpire in the first instance
* Umpires’ decisions relating to question of facts, including whether taking any action about the concerns raised, are final
* Players are to respect the umpires’ decisions. If a player is unhappy with the performance of an umpire, he / she can request to escalate the matter to the referee or the Competition Management Committee (CMC)
* The referee or the CMC may decide on an appropriate action regarding on court behaviours and its decision is final
Misbehaviours:
* On court serious, abusive or repeated misbehaviours may result in the offender being disqualified for the match (and / or future matches)
* On and off court serious, abusive or repeated misbehaviours may result in the offender’s membership at Top Spins being suspended or cancelled
* Behaviours that may bring Top Spins’ name into disrepute may result in the offender’s membership at Top Spins being suspended or cancelled
